Apparently there were no scars in the character creation thingy.

[Fullforce]

The scars are based on your stance as a Paragon or Renegade. Be a bastard and they'll only get worse, while as a Paragon you can get rid of them completely.

There's an optional upgrade later you can buy for the Normandy that gets rid of the scars no matter what your alignment.

Too bad, the scars added to the character face permamently were an awesome add.
And I don't want to start being asshole because "only assholes get scars".
